SAP Business One Licensing

The licensing model for SAP Business One (SAP B1) provides you with a level of flexibility and configuration capabilities, so you can maximise on your investment.
There are two options:
Perpetual Licensing for SAP B1
This includes a single cost which means that you own the software and can use it for years to come without paying any more, apart from for support and maintenance.
Subscription Licensing for SAP B1
The second option is Subscription Licensing for SAP B1, this would involve an annual renewal cost if you want to continue using the software.

SAP Software Licensing
SAP Business One software licensing gives you control over what elements of SAP Business One your employees can access, ensuring that the software is utilised in accordance with the SAP user agreement. Below are the different types of named user licence available.-
Professional
This licence essentially gives the user full access to every module in SAP with ability to customise the permissions granted for users if an authorised ‘superuser’.

Limited Logistics
This license gives the user access to most aspects of the sales and purchasing modules. Its predominant use is to give users access to inventory controls and the production module functionality.

Limited CRM
This licence gives the user full access to the CRM modules as well as being given the opportunity to input sales quotations and sales orders. In turn CRM licenses give the user full access to service and HR modules.

Limited Financials
The predominant focus of this module is to give the user full access to the financial module, reporting, banking and some access to sales and purchasing functions.

Mobile User (Sales)
This license is a cost effective way to licence specific CRM and sales functionality on a mobile device (phone or tablet for an individual that needs to access system data and process transactions away from an office location and does not have any of the above licences).

Mobile User (Service)
This license is a cost effective way to licence specific CRM and Service module functionality on a mobile device (phone or tablet) typically for a service / installation engineer that undertakes work on a customers site and does not have an office base.

SAP Indirect
SAP Business One data can be accessed indirectly through integrated 3rd party software applications, for which indirect SAP licences maybe required. For example, a license would be required with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) applications, for sending and receiving high volumes of data in specified formats.
