SAP Implementation and Support

We are one of the leading SAP implementation partners in the UK.

Our SAP certified consultants work with small and medium sized businesses to help them grow and maximise their potential through the benefits of SAP Business One.

Why implement SAP Business One with Thinc?

Our SAP Business One implementation services are undertaken using our proven and unique methodology.

The process is based on the SAP Accelerated Implementation Program and the experience of the Thinc SAP consultancy team. It consists of five key project phases:

Our SAP Business One implementation process utilises best practice templates. We map key deliverables and project checkpoints against the phases listed above. These are all considered as part of the Risk and Change Management approach.

This approach ensures our clients maximise return on investment with SAP Business One and empowers their employees to fuel business growth.

The level of SAP support services required for each project will be dependent on the system requirements and overall scope of the project. We will also consider the level of expertise within a company and their ability to contribute necessary input to key areas of the project.

Key areas of any SAP integration project include:

  • project initiation and planning
  • hardware configuration
  • business process blueprinting
  • data migration
  • user acceptance testing
  • training coordination
  • and ongoing SAP user support services.

Thinc consultants provide the required experience for some or all of these project areas. Our experience spans a range of industries including: retail, distribution, e-commerce, professional services and manufacturing.

Many Thinc implementations of SAP Business One have involved multiple group trading companies, some operating overseas using different SAP localisations. Explore our Intercompany SAP services for more details on the capabilities of SAP Business One and the Intercompany Integration module.

Business Requirements

Every business is unique, so we start every successful implementation by listening. This allows us to gain a deeper understanding of how a SAP integration of business processes could benefit our clients.

What we learn through research and discussion will ensure that the ERP solution we recommend is right for your business. Our consultants will only recommend SAP Business One, or any SAP solutions, if they believe that it will provide what your business needs.

SAP Pre-sales Methodology

Our pre-sales methodology has been developed to help our clients understand the SAP Business One benefits. Importantly, we’ll explain how these benefits will help you to work as an intelligent company.

Our SAP Business One process begins with this unique pre-sale approach, to define the scope of the project and solution in detail, prior to full project commitment. This level of transparency reduces risk and delivers high levels of commercial accuracy for any ERP solution proposal.

It’s this level of open communication and our customer-centric approach that has seen us reach some of the highest customer retention levels in our industry. It also allows us to form long-term partnerships with our clients based on trust and collaboration.

Business Processes Blueprint

During phase two of our SAP Business One Process, our consultants will work with the project team to select the most suitable and efficient business processes available. These will be selected in line with the project goals, scope, and risk profile.

To help blueprint these processes, we hold a series of workshops focused on the different business departments. We will incorporate processes from: finance, sales, customer service, purchasing, HR, logistics, production, and project management.

Our experience has taught us that the best outcome comes from a high level of collaboration.  Bringing together your in-house company knowledge with the specialist product and industry knowledge of our SAP Business One consultants, we’re able to form a formidable team.

To help us understand your needs in detail, our consultative approach includes a prospect site report. This details a business’s goals, and the pains and restrictions linked with the current business processes. These findings will drive decisions on the fundamental SAP Business One system requirements and our related advice.

SAP End User Training

Our delivery of SAP end user training can be customised to ensure that the right approach is undertaken for each individual business.

Our SAP Business One support consultants can deliver training remotely – using Webex facilities – or on-site and in-person, when this is appropriate. For more information regarding remote delivery of project services read this insight from our SAP Operations Manager.

Our remote SAP implementations are supported by providing end user training for key personnel early within a project; we call these system super users. Providing early end user training increases their level of ownership and involvement, ready for the wider SAP training programme and beyond.

We also provide company-specific SAP system user guides. These identify the most efficient business processes available by illustrating the process steps blueprinted during the project workshops.

SAP Support Services

During any SAP Business One implementation our fully integrated SAP support services are available from certified SAP Business One support consultants. Our Engineering and IT services team are also available to offer IT infrastructure and Hosting services support. Read more about our IT services support.

We provide ongoing SAP Business One support services following the post go-live project review and delivery of all SAP software requirements. This support is available during UK office hours, in real time, via telephone, remote system connection and email.

In addition to the Thinc support services, SAP Business One provides an inclusive annual maintenance package. This benefit for SAP customers gives access to all the major releases on the extensive SAP Roadmap. Find out more about the SAP Roadmap for SAP Business One 10.0.

Account Management

From within our SAP Operations team, your account manager will proactively help to deliver continuous improvement of your business solution. They will make a qualified assessment of all the SAP Business One requirements and releases on your behalf.

We will only advise on an upgrade once we have a clear understanding of the benefits involved, and after we have completed company testing.

Based on your identified goals and your business roadmap, your account manager will work with you to evolve and improve the implementation of your chosen ERP system. They are dedicated to providing a quality customer experience, removing business pain points along the way.

After our initial SAP implementation and support, typical future phases might be the integration of bespoke, industry-specific SAP Business One systems. Alternatively, you may require the integration of new e-commerce websites, or the addition of Advanced Warehouse Management functionality.
